• Total Staff strength of this hospital is 278 including 10 specialist doctors and 18 General Duty Medical Officers . Out of these ,62 posts including ministerial posts are lying vacant due to various reasons ,such as retirement/transfer/death etc . 9 GDMOs and 3 Specialists are engaged on contract basis against regular vacancies.

PONDICHERRY MEDICAL RELIEF SOCIETY FOR POOR

In order to extend the Medical benfits to the BPL families of Mahe Region a subconmmitte has been constitued under PMRS in Mahe Region with the following members:

• 1. Regional Administrator ,Mahe – Chairman
• 2.Deputy Director , GH Mahe -Member
• 3. Assistant Director, GH Mahe – Member Secretary

The members of BPL families(with income ceiling of Rs. 1,50,000/- p.a having 10 years residence certificate) can avail cashless treatment (limited to Rs. 2,50,000) from the empannelled Hosptials for the diseases for which medical facilities are not available in the Govt. Hosptial,Mahe.
